This is so awesome! Thank you very much for this very logical, eye-strain reducing vast improvement to my Internet world.
I am a security guard who surfs nearly all night (and alot of the day lol) from my vehicle. Soon, i will be working another internet based job while on duty, too.
In the past, I’ve had to dim the brightness and gamma on my graphics card, but now, I can just ‘blackify’ everything! wonderful! Make it always default so that I don’t have to hit that button for every page? Thanks!
Thanks Hamish !
These little bookmarklets will come in very handy !

superbe! I’m very grateful and very impressed. Now I’ve seen my own site ‘blackified’ I want to change it permanently. Uses less electricity too, I would imagine… or am I being silly here?

Too cool.
It would be an additional adv if the button’s functionality toggles on second click.
could you also make another change –The text in the required fields has become too light.
Thank you! I get really bad headaches from bright light and I am on my computer a lot. This will be so much better! Do you plan a Firefox extendtion in the future? It would be great to have the buttons on the main tool bar.
Thanks Again, your my Hero!
I’ve posted the Blackify style on userstyles.org. To apply the Blackify style to all web pages without having to click a button every time a new page loads, first you will need to install the “Stylish” Firefox extension located here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2108. Then go here http://userstyles.org/style/show/2154 and click “Load into Stylish” button, and click “save.” Blackify will automatically be active for all web pages. To turn it off, click on the stylish icon in the bottom right of your browser, mouse over “global styles” and uncheck Blackify.

Any chance of an OpenSearch plugin for ForeFox being written?
